Large scale engagement in the name of SAP AG on a 2-year Max Attention and escalation project.
Adapting current German SAP infrastructure (3.1 systems) to a global infrastructure on a worldwide base eventually adapting 45 countries. A global template was developed to ensure global adherence to corporate standards. Complete Re-design of the IT infrastructure.
Developing a SAP System Audit across the complete corporate IT infrastructure. The goal was to measure IT systems by cost, effectiveness and compliance. A comprehensive Master Plan was issued to the executive management of Sabic to take up corrective measures to improve IT Performance within a 3-year time frame.
Design of an ERP architecture. Implementing a change management software tool to support the change management process, FDA requirements and SOX compliance.
Oil Field Services
SAP components: FI, CO, AM, MM, SD, HR, PS, PM, PP, EH&S (3.1G) Design of Halliburton’s Asset management on a world-wide base. This entailed mainly the Oilfield Service Business processes in conjunction with the above mentioned R/3 applications. Design of Halliburton’s logistical supply chain for their manufacturing facilities and associated field camps around the world. Design of oilfield service specific application tightly integrated within SAP to allow Resource and Equipment scheduling. Design of a pre and post job cost calculation schema, which can be applied within the oilfield services to support job profitability assessments.
SAP Components: FI,CO,AM,MM,SD,HR,PS Implementation of the complete Suite of R/3 software on a global base in 90+ countries, 500+ companies and several thousand plants. The objective is, to implement and rollout R/3 across the Oilfield Services and replacing all existing legacy systems for 10.000+ users. The critical success factors are to simplify all business processes across the seven product lines and offer a common business system for all commercial applications. The HR was implemented in a de-coupled fashion to support national payroll systems. A Windows based field service tool was developed and seamlessly integrated with SAP. The tool provided functionality very much the same as a mobile sales application today. Schlumberger is an important customer to SAP in terms of multi-currency developments (Material and Asset valuation), mobile assets (equipment, trucks, ships, etc.) and the concept of multiple financial books (Management, Tax and Legal). The initial roll-out targets the North American Region with 3.500+ users with further rollouts in Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Development of a complete rollout plan for all SAP modules according to customer plan. Complete Resource estimate and initial budget build-up. Feasibility study for the sequence of a proposed application roll-out to several sites.
New Implementation of SRM EHP3 including SUS and SLC (Buy and Sell Side) for the corporate Purchasing Department. Introducing the ERS procedure for consumption goods and services. Implementing a new Catalog software within the SRM as a hosted solution.
FI-CA go live Transport Invoicing & UIC Generation and Reporting, Transport contracts &Transport Orders native in SAP SD replacing the costumer´s Legacy System
New implementation for the Transport and Cargo business of the train company, utilizing all Modules of SAP including a highly complex Variant Configuration solution, to enable SBB cargo to move to a service oriented market approach.
SAP Components: FI, CO, MM, PS, PP, PM, SM, SD, HR, SEM 2.0B (BCS, CPM), BW 2.0B, A&D (4.5B, 4.6C ) Design of the largest mysap.com implementation in the world at that time (180.000+ Users). The design included state-of-the-Art infrastructure utilizing SAP’s latest versions of core functionality and new dimension products, SUN Microsystems hardware, Compaq App- und Web Server, EMC disc technology and other high-tech components. A fully distributed architecture was designed to support operational systems around the globe ( 4 regional core R/3 systems, one global HR system, one SEM instance, one BW instance, a work place instance and several ITS servers). In order to manage the complex infrastructure an Enterprise Resource System was developed to control all common Configurations, distribute all relevant master data (also Non-SAP) and manage all ALE Business Scenarios. Besides the development of the business functionality of the operational systems special attention was focused on the utilization of the BI to enable a phased roll-out approach by combining legacy and partially SAP data to ensure consistent management reporting. SEM played a major role to satisfy Tax and Consolidation requirements for 500+ companies. The SEM-CPM functionality to provide a balanced scorecard was completely implemented. SEM- BPS was also used for value-added computations.
